I have been told that trying new things can strengthen relationships. So why not apply that to food? The other day I was finally blessed with a table at Chicago Magazine’s repetitive #1 spot on the restaurant hot list, The Girl and the Goat. If you can score a reservation here, you will win major brownie points. Chef, Stephanie Izzard (one of Bravo’s Top Chef season winners) and the 2 month waiting list, definitely makes it THE place to go. I recommend booking it now, and bring whoever you are dating at that point in time. So romantic huh? But as they say, desperate times call for desperate measures.
This west loop hot spot flawlessly combines chic and casual. The eccentric menu (oven roasted pig face and goat masala pizza to name a few) helps you and your guest engage in exciting conversation and sharing new experiences. But do not let that intimidate you good ‘ol steak and potato people. There are plenty of pickings that can satisfy the pickiest of pickiest. The chicken and skirt steak are simply aaaaaamazballz!
So dare to be daring and take someone special with you on this adventure! You never know what might surprise you…and your beloved.
tip: 2 months too long? Call the morning of the evening you would like to go. People always cancel last minute, so they just might be able to squeeze you in. Spoken from the goat’s…I mean horse’s mouth.
