The newest addition to River North, Hubbard Inn, should immediately move to the top of your happy hour list. Created by the same owners as LaSalle Power Co. and English, you will not be dissatisfied. Between the dark wood, old English lighting and scattered book shelves, these intricate details create the most enchanting ambiance. It is an ideal meeting place for a much needed after work bite and drink. Their menu is composed of excellent ingredients and all their small plates are meant to share. Perfecto!
Do not worry about dropping your things off at home beforehand. Your brief case, coats and purses are immediately attended to by the personal coat rack at each table. Why don’t all places do this?!
Ditch the usual bread basket and start your meal off with the deviled eggs. One for you and one for your date. They are quite delectable! Check out the rest of the menu to see what other fun foods are offered.
Things going well? Move it upstairs to the whiskey lounge for deeper conversation. They have every bourbon you can imagine and their specialty libations easily appease any vodka lover.
So don’t take my word for it. Go and see for yourself! I promise it will be love at first sight.
