Will You Be My Valentine?: Chicago Date Ideas

Me Amour! Love is in the air and Valentine’s Day is here. If you haven’t already noticed, the city can be quite romantic. Luckily Chicago has an endless list of possibilities for the traditional dinner for two. With that being said, several restaurants offer a special Valentine’s Day dinner menu. I have listed a few goodies below. Simply click on the name to see the special.

Volo Roscoe Village
Consistently voted top 4 on AOL as one of “the city’s best date spots” in Chicago. This wine bar is perfect for a February 14th evening.
Le Colonial – Gold Coast
The exotic atmosphere, made up of dark wood and palm leaves, serves a wonderful combination of French and Vietnamese. Literally the best chicken fried rice in the city. Ask to be seated upstairs for the best ambiance.

Wildfire – River North

Fabulous martini flights and their fillet medallions trump some of Chicago’s most hoity toity steakhouses.
Table 52 – Gold Coast
Art Smith’s (aka Oprah’s chef’s) restaurant is known for upscale southern cooking. Dressed up deviled eggs are complimentary and served as soon as you sit down.

President Obama and Michelle have spent V-day here too!

Blackbird – Bucktown
Featured in several magazines (Town and Country Travel, InStyle, Food and Wine Magazine…I could go on and on), this traditional French and American cuisine is supposed to be spectacular.

Gejas Cafe – Lincoln Park
Voted the most romantic restaurant in town. Book the fondue for two and receive a discount at both Lincoln Park Massage and a stay at the Belden-Stratford Hotel. Bonus!
