Good morning lovers!
As I posted on the Great Dates Facebook page last night, the Chicago Restaurant Week participant list has been announced! This is truly, one of my favorite times in Chicago.
For the week of February 17th – 26th, participating restaurants will be offering a pre-determined lunch and/or dinner menu for a set price. Prices can range, but are typically $22 for lunch and $33 for dinner. This is the best opportunity to try some of those expensive steakhouses or fancy restaurants for cheap, cheap, cheap! Talk about a great opportunity to impress a date or get out of your same ‘ol restaurant bubble. You can check out my review from last year here.
Here are a few places I have put on my the short list for 2012!
1. Spiaggia (only 4 star Italian restaurant in Chicago and one of Obama’s faves)
2. Naha
3. Nomi (located in the Park Hyatt Hotel and a gorgeous view over Michigan Avenue)
4. Frontera Grill (I have been dying to try famous chef, Rick Bayless’s, Mexican restaurant forever)
5. Blackbird
There are several other amazing restaurants on the list as well! What restaurants are you looking forward to trying? Did you participate last year? Any reccomendations? Would love to here!
I’m super excited for restaurant week of course 🙂 Naha is also on my list for this year also. I went to Blackbird during RW last year and it was great. Your other three are awesome restaurants, so it will be interesting to see if they can produce the same quality food during RW ~ that always seems to be the challenge!
City Girl thanks for your comment and especially following my blog! I am excited to hear Blackbird was still quite delicious during last year’s RW. I look forward to seeing where you try.
