I can only hope to travel half as stylish as this jet setter during my trip to Italy (only three weeks away!). I am making a mental list of what to pack and have that odd feeling I am missing something important. So my question to you is how do you look good AND be comfortable during long flights or trips? What do you pack in your carry on? Do you have any tips or tricks one should try?
I would love to hear from all you ladies who travel in style! And speaking of style, I will be reviewing my styling experience with miss Liz from Sequins and Stripes tomorrow. If you have ever wanted a glimpse into her day job, this will be a great caption on how she works her magic. Stay tuned!

A Refreshed Take Off

In my experiences with looong flights– I’ve been to Europe three times and Africa once- you can never go wrong with leggings and a cute shirt dress (You can always take the leggings off when you land depending on the weather). And the key to looking fresh when you get off the plane is to keep a “landing kit” with you. You can include make up removing/ cleansing wipes to clean your face, small hair brush, tooth brush and tooth paste, and easy to apply make up. I usually head to the bathroom before the final descent and freshen up so I land feeling clean and refreshed rather than tired and grimy. Have a great time!! Always wanted to go to Italy, maybe on my next trip 🙂
Key to success? JCrew Saturday Pants. They are sweats but look like skinny jeans! Works every time 🙂
Oh my goodness why don’t I know about these?!!! I was just there yesterday too. Might have to check out their 30% off sale right now.
I vote leggings and a shirt dress or a maxi dress with a cardigan in case it’s cold…but, I don’t know if I’m the most stylish… For shoes, ballet flats always work well but make sure you bring something to keep your toes warm on the plane. Mine always freeze!
I try to wear a scarf that can double as a pillow or blanket on the flight. I always get chilly on a plane!
When you travel, remember that a foreign country is not designed to make you comfortable. It is designed to make its own people comfortable.
