Last week Four Corners Tavern Group invited me to check out Crossing Tavern’s new summer menu and cocktails. And I can absolutely say it is worth the trip off the beaten path. Located in Lakeview, their hidden outdoor patio is the perfect oasis for a casual date, Sunday funday or watching the Cubs.
{blueberry fog – love how they put real blueberries in it!}
{moscow mule in a copper cup}
{pama cooler – low cal too}
The menu consisted of upscale bar food, which was ACTUALLY delicious.
{buffalo rolls w/ ranch and buffalo sauce – SO yummy}
{parrano grilled cheese – a rich cheese with red wine braised onions}
{arugala & honey goat cheese salad – those little nuggets are fried goat cheese balls}
We even got to make our own pizzas!
{the final product}
Tons of seating, cozy nooks and TV’s in every corner…
The best part of Crossing is their always available seating! The patio is unseen from the street and a bit of a secret to even Chicagoans. So when you are waiting an hour at a popular beer garden or outdoor restaurant on a gorgeous Windy City day, think again and go to Crossing Tavern!
How fun! The outdoor patio looks amazing. Adding this place to my list.
Great place, great food and good people. We love this place.
