Chicago Monthly Musts – April

I hope everyone had a lovely holiday weekend! The beginning of every month, I will be sharing new hot spots in Chicago called “Monthly Musts”. These posts will include a short list of stores, restaurants and/or events that should 100% be on your radar.

1. Madewell //  2. Homeslice // 3. American Junkie // 4. Howells & Hood // 5. Siena Tavern

So why “Monthly Musts”? There are tons of new places opening every day in the city. With all the stuff on websites, magazines and social media, it is still hard to know where to go. I have done you a favor by sifting through all the “junk”, leaving behind the creme of the crop. These places have received A LOT of buzz around town and I plan on checking these out myself. The deets are as follows:

Madewell – JCrew’s sister boutique. Opening on Rush Street this Wednesday, April 3rd! I plan on scooping up this little number. (Gold Coast)
Homeslice – I know…another Chicago pizza spot. But think thin crust, hand tossed and loving the log cabin theme. (Lincoln Park)
American Junkie Originated in Scottsdale, AZ. Think club meets day party. Includes a retractable rooftop, bottle service…a Chicago summer staple. (River North)
Howells & Hood – New restaurant/bar in the Tribune Tower. Outdoor seating on Michigan Ave. By the same people who own Pour House, South Branch and Sweetwater. (Downtown)
Siena Tavern – Definitely THE restaurant to be (months waiting list). Opened a couple months ago by Fabio from Top Chef. I actually dined here a couple weeks ago. The Food is AMAZING and so are the cocktails. And I am obsessed with the phone charging stations by the ATMS. Genius. (River North)

Have you tried any of these places? If so, please share with me! I would love to hear your input. Hope you enjoy “Monthly Musts” and if you know of any new places/events opening next month, email me at cedarandrush at gmail dot com.
