{my new “About Me” page} |
Hey guys. So I am turning the tables today and need YOUR help.
Above is my recently added “About Me” page. (Which can be found above in the top, left hand corner, right below Cedar and Rush’s title). When reading other blogs, I love checking out who the writer is, what they do and where they live. I truly believe everyone has an interesting story, similar to the Wizard of Oz and “the man behind the curtain”. To put it bluntly, blogger’s lives (and people in general) appear far more interesting via Instagram, blogs and Facebook than what they really are. So it is nice to get a small glimpse into what our “pay the bill job” is (for the majority of us who cannot blog for a living) and why we started blogging to begin with.
Personally, I am shy and reserved about placing my personal info out into the blogosphere, but realize I need to put myself out there to help little Cedar and Rush grow. I am quite happy with how it turned out, but it still needs some tweaking. I think the flow could improve and I am not sure how much and what you guys really want to know.
Any feedback or thoughts on your end? Or maybe there is something specific you are curious about? If you have some words of advice, leave me a comment below or shoot me an email. Would love to know. The good, the bad and the ugly.
So do you have an “About Me” page on your blog? If so, how did you chose how much to share? And how often do you update it? Do you read other people’s profiles? Thanks again guys!
xx
I think it looks great! How did you create such a cute collage 🙂
Thanks so much Lindsey! I use Photoshop 🙂
I think it’s adorable and I love the collage approach! It’s eye catching and easy to read. Good job!
Isn’t That Charming.
Emily really appreciate the feedback…especially coming from you!
PS – love finding fellow Chicago bloggers!
It’s adorable! I love the pictures!
Lauren, thank you! Means a lot. Hope you are well 🙂
Nicole – this is great! I think you have found a style of your own with the collage approach & fun colors/words used with each one. It’s nice to hear more about who you are – About Me pages are always fun to read! I tend to be an open book on city girl | country roots, but I do have my limits. It’s nice to be able to relate to a blogger on a more personal level from time to time 🙂 Keep up the good work!
Ashley, really appreciate the note. I completely agree and you especially are good at opening up to your readers. I have taken notice and it is bloggers like you that inspire me to share more. Thanks again! xoxo
Super cute, Nicole! Love your “about me” section. Caught my eye- very colorful, creative, flows well & easy to navigate. Adorbs! Awesome job!
Casey, thanks for taking the time to review. Your comment and feedback is much appreciated. Love getting a 2nd opinion 🙂
