Getting in shape is so cliche for January, but it’s cliche for a reason right? In addition to my list of New Year’s resolutions, getting healthy (and skinny) is a major goal. As I am sure several of you are in the same boat, I wanted to share my top inspirations for getting in shape and staying on track.
Light Reading: gives me a constant reminder to stick with it
Catalina Su: AKA Giuliana Rancic’s makeup artist and bff’s with Cat Sadler and Damsel In Dior – this girl is obsessed with getting skinny, going to the gym and avoiding the donuts and coffee cake at the office E!News. She even shows you pics of her weight on “the scale”. She is pretty over the top, but really gets my butt in gear and mind in the game.
Posh Meets Pavement: Sierra is an absolute doll and the type of girl that makes you feel like “I can do that”. She recently moved to Chicago and is all about putting good stuff in your body. I just meet her this summer and cannot get enough of her tips, tricks and other fun topics in between.
Sweating In Style: I swear I am more apt to work out if I like my gym outfit
I got this Lululemon top for Christmas and I love it.
Mixing It Up: I get bored
Cut It In Half: I eat too much but refuse to count calories
I always clear my plate. Need to scale back on my portions by only eating half of the oversized restaurant entrees. Sharing a meal may be my thing.
How do you stay motivated?
How do you not eat everything on your plate?
What do you like to do for exercise?
This is such a great post! With two weddings and a trip to Mexico coming up (plus my want for a healthier lifestyle) I need motivation like this! I have a personal trainer once a week to keep my on track, but I also love spinning and kickboxing. I was a spinning instructor in college and have found that it clears my mind–if I can motivate myself to go to class. Flywheel sports is great, again when I can make myself go. We should try pure barre together (and share a meal after!).

Living’s as Easy as 312
Katherine, Mexico sounds amazing right now. So jealous! But some definite motivation to get swim suit ready. I would LOVE to go to a pure barre class together and then get something healthy afterwards. I need a partner to get me to commit.
I love your idea of eating half of your portions! At home, we’ve been eating off salad plates to keep our portions down and I think it’s working! Too often my husband and I make recipes for 4 and finish it, not anymore!
Also, have you tried Flywheel yet? I’m obsessed- it’s like a party. You get really into the music and when you leave you’re deliriously sweaty and burned like 600 calories. Love it.
