So you may have heard me talk about Garnish & Glam and I am so excited to announce next Thursday we are hosting our first PUBLIC event where anyone and everyone is invited! There will be complimentary champagne, a fashion show, treats, discounts, giveaways and more all at the lovely Bloomingdales on 900 N. Michigan.
Not to mention you get to learn more about Garnish and Glam, meet us founders (me, Steph and Anna) and sign up to be a member yourself! Don’t worry, we do not hold sorority girl try outs or interviews. We like all women of different backgrounds, careers, interests, etc. It is what keeps us interesting! So please don’t be nervous or intimidated to come. We want YOU to be there.

In case this is the first time hearing about Garnish &Glam, it is an exclusive women’s network for the modern lady who likes to mingle and learn new things they can apply to their every day. I co-founded it with two of my close friends, Anna and Steph, on the idea that it is SO hard to meet new women. You can’t pick up friends at a bar right? Not to mention, girls can be a little catty. So why not create a monthly event where women of all different backgrounds, careers, phases of life, etc. can meet in a friendly environment and learn something beneficial?

We have held parties from learning how to take a look from day to night with Madewell, to mixing cocktails with the experts at The Berkshire Room. Our future events will include how to write a thank you note with the most well known stationary boutique in Chicago (a celeb go to) and how to tie a tie and bow-tie with an upscale men’s suit store (see above pic)!
Given us founders are figuring things out as we go (we are just a baby company), we have kept the membership on a referral basis only. It’s not to be mean girl or choose the prettiest, richest, funniest women. It is to maintain a friendly environment where everyone knows at least one other person. And trust me, you can tell a difference in the energy of our events. However given our growth and women reaching out to us left and right, we wanted to open the doors for those that don’t have a referral.
