Redefining The Floral Service – Meet Kalla!

You. Guys. My buzz-o-meter has officially gone off it’s radar. And yours is about to too. Have you ever spent countless hours figuring out what to get your mom for her birthday; finding a present for the friend who has everything or you need a thoughtful gift (without having to go anywhere) because you waited until the last minute? For those that follow me on Instagram, you have probably seen a few posts regarding this new flower company in Chicago.

Kalla has redefined the floral delivery service and consider her your new Chicago bestie. Originally started in Miami, think modern blooms, whimsical vases and little fun add-ons (aka chocolate and wine), your recipients will squeal with delight.

I was a very lucky lady and received the full Kalla experience last week. I swear to you I jumped up and down when I came home to this gorgeous box (fun video of it here). It included The Bea & The Lady, a box of art chocolates and a bottle of chilled Chardonnay. I mean talk about some fab snail mail right? And so unexpected.

But wait. There is more than meets the eye. There are a few tid bits that one may initially miss:

1. The hidden “hydration lilly“ that keeps your flowers lasting for an exceptional amount of time. It’s been over a week and mine are still looking great. 
2. You can also create a video message or upload a photo and it will arrive as an email or text message at the time of delivery. Pretty cool huh?
3. The clever descriptions. I loved reading several About the Bouquets. My personal favorite is The Lady & The Bea – Classic With a Wink: There’s nothing more disarming than an elegant woman with a sparkling wit. This whimsical bouquet pairs our vintage-inspired vase with a coiffure of fragrant, feminine Pink O’Hara Garden Roses. Wisps of Asparagus Fern soften the lines between arrangement and vase, and the “Tippy” Succulent adds a playful focal point. It’s an arrangement that can’t help but delight those stylish and always-up-for-some-fun ladies in your life.

Now, these bouquets are obviously going to be more than your typical flowers. But the experience of receiving a Kalla box is unlike anything else. Even if you skip the chocolates and the wine, you get a stunning vase (that will honestly be reused); lasting flowers and a beautiful presentation.

I am also thinking this would be fun for clients, a bride on her wedding day, a nice thank you or a “sorry I couldn’t make it” to an important event. So what do you think? I would say Kalla is a great addition to the Windy City. Be sure to check out the full website here. Enjoy!
