Hello friends! How are you? I miss you and wanted to share the latest and greatest around here. Although there hasn’t been much activity on Cedar and Rush blog, behind the scenes, life is non-stop.

The Biz: First and foremost, I made the tough (but exciting!) decision to leave my corporate job to follow my passion. I have officially gone out on my own to pursue a career in social media and public relations. Can I get a whoop, whoop?!
Although terrifying, I can tell this is what I am meant to do. I am regularly giddy and do chair dances at my desk when I see an idea implemented and producing results. I have had great jobs at incredible companies, but I have never experienced this feeling before. I think it’s my spirit telling me I am doing what I love. I am one lucky lady and could not do it without my husband, family, friends and other bloggers who have supported me through it all. Heart you guys!
My Sanity: Secondly, my personal routine and organization this past year has gone down the drain. Big. Time. I was so focused on networking, blogging, etc. (on top of a full time position) that I neglected to take care of myself. I am making changes that not only make me feel better but physically make me look like a healthy human being! So expect to see some organization tips and tricks for those of you who have hectic schedules. I already have exciting stuff in the works.
On My Radar: There are some AWESOME things happening in Chicago that I cannot wait to tell you about. So stay tuned this week if you want to be “in the know” too. Trust me, all good stuff!
Great seeing you kids today. Tell me what’s new with you. Any thing changing or just trucking along?
So exciting! It’s so inspiring when you see other people going for their dreams. I’m looking forward to following along 🙂
26 and Not Counting
That is awesome, Nicole!! Good for you for taking the leap! Life is too short not to follow your passion. Can’t wait to follow along and hope you’re having a great day!
Congrats on making a huge change! It sounds like it’s already paying off. Looking forward to your organization tips- I geek out on those things. 🙂
Congrats on your new job! I can’t wait to see you at the GG event tomorrow and talk with you about it! I’ve been wanting to get into social media/pr/communications for a while now…so I would LOVE to hear any advice you could share! Soooooo happy for you. There is nothing better than feeling HAPPY at work! 🙂
Congrats! I’m so excited for you! I hope I see you soon so I can congratulate you in person. Cocktail to celebrate?
