Hold the phone ladies! I am obsessed with Gold Coast’s newest restaurant addition, Fig & Olive. And in less than a week it has quickly become quite the hot spot. You feel as if you are on vacation and the head turning crowd falls right in line with the gorgeous decor. After a day of shopping with the girls or a hot date night, this is going to be my new to go. With trendy music and a vibrant atmosphere, the setting puts you in the mood to linger longer and order an extra cocktail.
I love the idea of pairing a sexy, floral cutout (I have this in black!) with chic flats for an early evening at the bar. Club Monaco always has the best dress selections. Top it it off with a classic hat and a spritz of the Beach (my 2014 summer essentials). Very French Riviera don’t you think?
The menu is on the pricey side, but their secret daily special from 4 PM – 7 PM is for everyone. Receive a complimentary French, Spanish or Italian tasting plate with any signature cocktail or glass of wine. This is only available in the bar and lounge, which happens to be the best place for people watching.
I have been here twice already on my own accord. Once with the girls and once on a double date. Be sure to make your reservation now, as Chicagoans are catching on. Enjoy!
