“the world’s your oyster”
There are hundreds of incredible restaurants and bars in Chicago, but one that remains true to my heart is GT Fish & Oyster. It’s a keeper in my book because it can be a casual meet up at the bar OR an elegant evening out. Upon walking in, you are quickly transported to the East Coast and makes you want to dress the part!
Megan and I recently meet up for oysters and champagne to show you how it’s done.

We were tickled pink when Chicago’s infamous Chef, Giuseppi Tentori took it upon himself to show us a thing or two. Speaking of two…do you like our matching Vineyard Vines sweaters? As they say, double the pleasure, double the fun.

Did you know Chicago has it’s own special oysters called 1871? The history behind them is fascinating and GT is one of the few restaurants in town that serves them. Also, out of one million shucked oysters, they have only found one itsy bitsy tiny pearl! They didn’t keep it (yes, I asked).

Now let’s kick it up a notch. Given this is a great date place, you must dress to impress. So Megan and I spruced it up and slipped into some nautical frocks!
A spritz of Bobbi Brown’s Beach and you are ready to go. This quickly became my new favorite scent this summer and wear it every day! It really smells like the beach.

A huge thanks to Emily for welcoming us to GT Fish & Oyster. Isn’t she a doll?
If you don’t have any plans this weekend, I highly recommend making a reservation (try the Moody Tongue beer on tap). Until next time ladies!
Do you know any other restaurants that make for both a fancy and casual experience? If so, please share in the comments below.
