Hello friends! How was every one’s weekend? I have had a lot on my plate recently so I decided to organize a ladies spa night with some of my girlfriends this past Friday. Have you ever done this before? It is refreshing to actually talk and catch up in a quiet atmosphere versus a crowded restaurant for a change. Between comfy robes, hot tea and aromatic scents – we were able to take a deep breath and put our guards down.
{happy hour with a comfy robe, magazine and vino – aaaaahhhhhhh} |
Personally I have a hard time turning it off. So instead of spending money towards a high-end dinner and high priced cocktails, why not switch it up and put those hard earned dollars towards an evening of wine, pampering and good conversation? The new Soho House‘s spa, Cowshed, made the most perfect place for a evening of R&R with the ladies!

One of the best parts about Cowshed (and unbeknown until arrival), are the complimentary Friday evening cocktails. This week they featured coups of Prosseco, which I could not have planned better myself. So if you decide to do something similar, be sure to schedule on a Friday night. Such a nice touch don’t you think?
We surprisingly found the services very reasonably priced (compared to other Chicago spas) and the décor is rustic, chic. Nothing else like it.
Between the times of 5:00 PM – 9 PM, we gossiped caught up, sipped wine and tea and popped in and out of our services. The most popular treatment between the seven of us was the thirty minute cowgroom – TWO services by TWO professionals at the same time. I simultaneously received a facial, brow touch up, light massage and pedicure. Magic I tell you.

Afterwards we changed slipped into our clothes and headed up stairs for cocktails at The Allis lounge and dinner at Pizza East. By 11 PM I was in bed, relaxed, well feed and ready to dominate Saturday morning sans hangover.
If you are looking to do a spa service, I could not recommend Cowshed more. Plus The Soho House is quite the hot spot. In addition to the amazing service and chic interior, the encompassing upstairs restaurants and lounge adds another layer to the experience. You know how it is when the ladies get together. One more cocktail right?
So tell me about your weekend. Did you do anything fun? Have you ever organized a spa group? If so, where’d you go and what’d you do! I am obsessed with anything spa.
Disclosure: the Cowshed graciously provided us a small discount on our services and a complimentary cocktail at The Allis. All opinions and thoughts are entirely my own and from the heart. Thanks again Cowshed for the perfect Girls Night Out! And thank you to Jessica, Abby, Brittney, Kristen and Anna for making it so much fun!
I ran my third half marathon this past weekend (I was completely unprepared this time around) and this sounds amazing right about now. A spa night with the girls would be a nice switch up from our usual 🙂 Hope you have a great week!
This place looks amazing! Seriously, rustic isn’t normally my style, but everything works so well together. If I didn’t live 1,000 miles away in Texas, I’d book an appointment today. Glad you and your girlfriends had a good time!
