So if you follow me on Instagram or know me personally, you know I love Flywheel, a spin studio in River North and Old Town! I have also converted my husband and a few of my friends and such a treat. I like to say you feel like you are working out at Underground (aka a club). Awesome music, dark lights, stadium seating and the instructors push you just enough so you get a hard workout. It is FUN. Seriously!
You will find several of Chicago’s who’s who works out here as well. I love the Gold Coast location (because it is only 1 block away from where I live) but the new Old Town studio is gorgeous. It is kind of amazing and doesn’t feel like a gym. My favorite thing as of late is to schedule a workout class with my girlfriends Saturday morning, then hit the Bloody Mary bar at Benchmark. Or there is a great juice bar right next door too!
So with that being said and bikini season in sight…I wanted to tell you about Flywheel’s newest challenge that starts tomorrow!
With summer just around the corner, Flywheel’s Challenge series, kicking-off April 20, will have you looking and feeling your best by Memorial Day. These four week Challenges – the Flywheel Challenge, FlyBarre Challenge and (recently launched) FlyPlus Challenge – yield incredible results. Whether you’re looking to shed a few pounds or increase strength and endurance, we have the perfect program for you. Below are three ways to shape up, slim down and challenge yourself before bikini season:
Flywheel Challenge
4 classes per week / 16 classes total
Includes optional weekly weigh-ins with designated Flywheel Coach
Kick-off event includes nutritional seminar and a Flywheel technique workshop that addresses proper bike set-up, positioning, arms and more to ensure that participants understand how to get the most out of their workout
The Flywheel Challenge is optimal for those looking to burn calories, increase endurance and improve cardiovascular health
FlyBarre Challenge
- 4 classes per week / 16classes total
- Includes optional weekly measurements with designated FlyBarre Coach
- Kick-off event includes nutritional seminar and a FlyBarre 101 workshop where various portions of a FlyBarre class will be highlighted (at a broken down pace) to ensure participants have a better understanding of movements and technique
- The FlyBarre Challenge is optimal for those looking to tone and sculpt, improve core strength, and increase muscular stamina
FlyPlus Challenge
- 3 Flywheel classes and 3 FlyBarre classes per week / 24 classes total
- Includes optional weekly weigh-ins and/or measurements with designated FLY Coach
- Kick-off event includes nutritional seminar, a Flywheel technique workshop and a FlyBarre 101 workshop
- The FlyPlus Challenge is optimal for those looking to burn calories, increase endurance AND tone and sculpt
New for our challengers!
- Challengers will have early booking privileges for classes and can register on Saturdays (one day before everyone else)
- Community discussions with other challengers participating to get peer motivation
Each four week Challenge will include a kick-off event as well as a closing party. Challengers will be assigned a coach (an instructor) who will email participants weekly and be readily available to answer any questions and/or concerns throughout the journey. Additionally, each Challenge will focus on nutrition, a crucial component for those seeking weight loss results. Heather Bauer, a leading nutritionist and founder of Bestowed, designed a program exclusively for challengers that includes a 28 day meal plan, recipes, grocery list, nutritional tips and more. Heather hasdevised two meal plans (FlyPlan) – one designed to help participants reach weight loss goal and one for those striving to boost strength and endurance.
