So they say a picture is worth a thousand words, but a video is worth a thousand pictures.
If we talk about 2015 trends, video content is huge and on the rise! I am pumped to hop on the bandwagon.
If you are a blogger or a brand you should be thinking about videos too. I know. Another thing right?! Don’t know where to begin? Lucky for you I have the best company to help you get started like a champ! I suggest scheduling a date with them immediately. But first, let me give you some background.
Two weeks ago, Katharine and I teamed up with the amazing Match Frame Creative to capture our blogs on film. Since videos take a lot of time and resources, we wanted to include something for our “About Me” sections – our most viewed page on our blogs. This short video will incorporate beauty, food, fashion and Chicago – the perfect way to showcase our lifestyle ways! We were able to capture all these categories with a picnic in the park. The footage is currently in editing mode with Match Frame, but I cannot wait to see the final piece. Let alone show you when it’s done!
What makes Match Frame unique {AKA why I HAD to work with them} is their story telling capabilities. The quality, attention to detail, overlapping music/sound, and their effects are unlike anything I have ever seen.
So how did I find Match Frame? They had me at hello when I first watched this video by 3 Gentlemen. Be sure to take a look. It’s unbelievably professional and feels like a movie! The founders, John and Jay are a dream to work with too. They have feature film experience and produce footage for weddings, companies and other brands. I could look at their portfolio all day long! John and Jay keep it fun, which makes for the best experience. We were bouncing ideas off each other constantly! Talk about a full on creative process. We had such a good time, we may have grabbed lunch and drinks afterwards too.
To take my own advice, I did a behind the scenes movie of our shoot. Yep, a video of a video. Ha! In the meantime, be sure to watch the footage that inspired it all and the rest of Match Frame Creative’s website!
So tell me. Do you make videos? If not, any future plans? If so, how do you make them? I used iMovie and loved it. They are secretly so much fun to make!
I can’t wait to see the finished product! I’m still getting the hang of my camera (shame on me), so for now, snapchat videos will have to suffice haha. I hope you have a great Monday! 🙂
