Did you guys have a great Fourth?! I had my niece’s birthday and it was the cutest one year old birthday party ever. My sister-in-law (Sam), an interior designer, went all out with red, white and blue! It felt like a fancy BBQ with grilled sliders and champagne.
I’ve learned over the years, the best time to stock up on holiday swag is immediately after it’s over. Everything’s on sale! So I thought I’d share some of the details to inspire you for next year. Not to mention Labor Day!
TOMS Memphis Sunglasses || Dogeared Necklace || Michele Watch
But first, I’d like to introduce you to Taylor – the lady of the hour! Isn’t she a doll?
Different sized flags were tastefully placed and hung all over the property.
Outdoor globe lights draped over the patio and turned on before sunset!
Loft Dress (old but similar here) || Forever21 Scarf
And speaking of sunset, I purchased this Forever21 scarf for only $12! I draped it over my shoulders once it cooled down. I plan to use it all summer long. Especially as a blanket for music and movies in the park! Not to mention Labor Day weekend.
Even miss Taylor loved it!
Sam used blue & white striped ribbon to dress up glass containers. Genius!
Alex and Ani Initial Bracelets
My trusty Jack Roger sandals are a BBQ staple. I wear them religiously! I am also coveting these comfy all american tees by Chaser.
Mix and match straws in mason jars. Don’t forget the twine.
Tell me this cake isn’t Independence Day amazingness?!
Want to dress up champagne? Serve it in a white wine glass over ice, with raspberries and blueberries. So refreshing!
Happy 1st Birthday Taylor! I cannot wait for many more birthdays to come. Just don’t grow up too fast! And be sure to check out my sister in law’s interior design blog, Shining On Design – it’s filled with incredible ideas and she makes them feel so approachable! She’s so talented – in case you couldn’t tell!
And a big thank you to my other sister in law, Kelsey, for snapping a few of the pics!
I spent the weekend in Forest Park helping my daughter finish her new apartment and lunching on Madison. What an adorable party! Your niece is so cute and I’m following your sis in law’s blog. Another design blog so I can get my fix, Hooray! Thanks Nicole.
You need to show us your daughter’s place! I bet it is amazing. And I am glad you are following my sister-in-law’s blog now too! I have a feeling you two would get along 😉
This is the cutest 1st birthday party!! It looks like you had a great time with your family celebrating! I hope you had a great long weekend!! 🙂
