How was your weekend friends? Today I am flipping Work Smarter, Not Harder on it’s head. I’m asking YOU for your best tips. What do you do to make life easier? This can be anything from a pot lid organizer (I LOVE mine!); to answering emails; to how you landed your dream job. Anything that is helpful. Nothing is too small or silly.
Also, I need your help. How can I make this series more beneficial for YOU? Are there any specific careers you would like me to highlight? Anyone you want me to ask? {I will seriously email anyone! True Story: I reached out to Joan Cusack. No word yet ;)} What questions are working? What questions aren’t? Maybe you could care less about coffee? Or want me to dive deeper into a certain question? Tell me!
Sean suggested I add “what is the best way to get your foot in your industry with zero experience?” I listed the questionnaire below as a friendly reminder. Thanks for the help! Also, feel free to email me {cedarandrush@gmail.com} directly or shoot me a tweet if comments aren’t your thing. xoxo

Hello Nicole! I take my coffee with a little cream, but only on mornings when I’m feeling indulgent. I find that the best way to get to yoga or the gym is to go first thing in the morning. I try and be up my 6:30am every morning. I love having a few minutes to myself to let the day begin slowly. The best way to get your foot in the door at a new job is to volunteer, intern or network, network, network. A mistake many people make is talking to much (me included) I think most people need to listen more and improve communication in the workplace. Tips for an organized workspace include baskets, desk organizers, good lighting, ample bookshelves or a storage closet and cleaning up at the end of the day for a fresh start the next.
Claire, you are adorable! I absolutely love your morning routine. I so wish I could get up at 6:30 AM! However I am just not an intern. Great advice your networking tips and especially an organized workspace. Hope you had a lovely weekend!
