Have you ever been Glamping? You know. Fancy camping.
Ever since I witnessed “glamping” on the Real Housewives of the OC, I knew I had to try it. Well guess what? You can go GLAMPING right in the middle of Chicago! The only hard part is choosing a bunk mate.
Last week the Dana Hotel invited me to their very own glamping experience, #CampDana. If you are interested, here is the official camp itinerary!
Teepee in the room. I repeat. There’s a teepee in the room!
Don’t forget your sunscreen. Oh wait. There’s a welcome package upon arrival. Sunscreen; a leather DIY craft; a canteen can {champagne in lieu of water is highly recommended}; an eye mask and a body scrub. All the camping essentials.
Sweeping Chicago skylines. Who needs trees?
Hot stone massages for two at the spa. P.S. This is one of my favorite spas in Chicago. It’s beautiful and includes a stunning locker room. A special shout out to the masseuses who are trained to incorporate body stretches in the massage. It’s unlike anything! I also adore their relaxation room with magical spa water. Isn’t spa water just the best?
S’mores under the stars! They setup this darling little s’more station at their rooftop lounge, Vertigo Lounge.
Cocktail lessons. Taking our drinks outside the canteen! My bunk mate and I learned how to make “Happy Camper” cocktails. We stirred and shook these bad boys behind the bar too. Our instructors were a blast and we used Yogurt Liquor in our “Happy Campers” – which was new to me. They paired amazing with the s’mores too.
Breakfast out of bed in the hotel’s Freestyle food + drink restaurant. Top off your glamping experience with a cappuccino, omelette and potatoes. Or anything off the menu actually. I especially love the Bloody Mary bar! I used to live right next door and frequented regularly. Perfect way to end camp before heading back to the parents husband.
Have you ever been glamping? #CampDana is a hoot and a half for just girls, mom and daughter or an escape with the better half. My sister-in-law, Kelsey, joined me and couldn’t have been a better bunk mate. And photographer. Now, I’m officially craving s’mores again!
A huge thank you to the Dana Hotel and Spa for having us as their guests. We will definitely be back soon!
I love this Nicole, it looks like you had so much fun at the Dana Hotel!! Isn’t it so beautiful there, I mean I could go ‘glaming’ there all the time!! Glad you had fun! 🙂
