A striped T has it’s perks. Let’s discuss.
- They never go out of style: so you can wear it for years, saving you money.
- Adds texture and print: which makes you look pulled together effortlessly.
- They go with everything: it’s a neutral! Saving you precious time searching for the perfect outfit. Versus staring in your closet thinking “I have nothing to wear!”
- They are comfortable: making you feel happy when running errands, eating, etc.
- Seasonal! You can wear these puppies in the summer, spring, winter and fall – that whole “save you money” thing again.
- They hide stuff: wrinkles and stains are not as noticeable. Go ahead, reach in that dirty hamper!
My husband thinks I have too many “striped” things, but the reality is – I don’t have enough! I recently got this red and white striped crew neck – a dead ringer for the famous Comme des Garcons Play Striped t-shirt (fraction of the price!). I’ve worn it more times than I’d like to admit. A few examples…
- With cropped black pants and flats for a midweek dinner with the girls.
- With leggings for lounging and watching Game of Thrones.
- Heels and ripped jeans for date night.
- With shorts and sneakers for running errands.
I compiled my favorite striped t’s below. I’ve struggled to find a crew neck style (versus boat neck) for YEARS. I swear crew necks make you look skinnier! You can’t beat the price of mine {fyi – size up!}. Also, it’s just long enough where you can tuck it in or leave it as is – adding to the versatility of it all.
How many striped tops do you own? Any favorites? I write the famous Heidi Merrick tee on my Christmas list every year – but I don’t think Santa is getting the hint. Maybe I’ll get lucky this year! X-mas in July anyone?

Jess I find it difficult to believe you can’t wear red – but I digress. So this shirt I truly love – it’s so comfy and you just can’t beat the price! It’s one of those finds you’ll wear all the time but don’t have to worry about it. Glad I can inspire you to do some shopping! xoxo
Loving the ways you styled this amazing tee! Red is definitely your color!
I totally agree with you, I don’t think that you can ever have too many stripes! Right now my favorite stripe shirt is from This Is The Great, their t-shirts are so soft!
Love your Comme des Garcons in red!
