Hello. My name is Nicole, I live in Palm Springs and throw glamorous parties. Can’t you tell by the palm print I’m wearing?
I also stay at the Beverly Hills Hotel (famous for their palm leaf wallpaper) and sip champagne in the lobby. Such a lady I am huh?
Handmade by TIYA the Label – anyone can be the hostess with the most-ess in their skirts.
Go ahead! Spill the wine. Burn the chicken. Manners? Pssssh. Who needs ’em? You’ve got the skirt yo. But there is one faux pas no print, nor skirt, can camouflage.
It’s a gesture so small that can make or break your social status.
Despite your best intentions, your guests may secretly feel uncomfortable or even worse…unwelcome. It happens way more than you realize.
But great news. This common mistake is an easy fix and anyone can do it. The solution?
Offer up a drink for heavens sake!
A spot of tea, a glass of milk with cookies, a chilled Corona or a crisp glass of sauvignon blanc. The options are endless and doesn’t have to be fancy.
The trick? You’ve got 60 seconds from the moment they walk in the door.
The reason? It subconsciously clues your guests to take a load off and stay awhile. No questioning “do they want me to leave, how long can I stay, etc.” It also gives your friend an activity to do while you quickly pick up your dirty clothes. Win win in my book.
Want your guest to stay longer? Offer them another drink. If you are ready for them to go their merry way, then don’t. They’ll get the hint. See? Win, win ladies.
And while I have you on the horn…play some tunes will ya? Background music does wonders. There’s nothing worse than a silent ambiance. We’d go to the library if we wanted that.
In case you didn’t notice, a palm print skirt makes you socially brilliant. It must be the high quality details and hand stitching 😉
What are your favorite entertaining tips? Anything you see people fail to do? Tell us so we don’t succumb to social suicide! And for heavens sake, get yourself one of these skirts. I receive so many compliments (your free ticket to the highest social status).
