Happy New Year’s Eve little ladies!
How are you ringing in the new year? I can’t believe it, but we’re heading downtown Chicago tonight. I avoided downtown like the plague when we lived on State St! Now here we are making the track to the city from the burbs.
Luckily we get to spend it with an intimate group of friends, including our brother and sister in law! I can’t believe I’m admitting this, but we have a car scheduled to take us back at 11 PM.
Hopefully we make it home in time to get a wet nosed New Year’s kiss from Larry (our pup!).
So 3 random things I’m excited about tonight…
- I SCOURED the Earth this past year for these Moet Champagne spout sippers. And I FINALLY found them {I got real lucky on Ebay}. They were first debuted by all the celebs at the Golden Globes. What makes them so cool is that you can drink champagne directly from the bottle! Otherwise the bubbles explode in your face. So fun right? I will be sipping one on the Metra train enroute to our party tonight!
- Our host (and her husband) of this evening are expecting. How brave of her to host on NYE! So I got her these for the countdown and these for new year’s day. Quite a clever and darling idea (anytime of the year really) for your pregnant friends too.
- Lastly, I’m adoring these dresses from Laundry by Shelli Segal. A go to of mine for cocktail dresses for as long as I can remember! The details, silk and sequins are not only perfect for tonight but any 2017 affair! I seriously can’t decide which one to wear. This sequin striped number is so festive but this beaded trim garment feels like I’m in a modern day Great Gabsy! Do you guys favor one over the other? I’m also going to Miami in a few weeks and plan on packing these in my suitcase.
