Guys. We’re officially 2 weeks away from Christmas. Can you believe it?!
Today I’m making cookies with my mama (it’s a tradition!). But it reminds me. I still need to finish up some presents for the family. Right before we left for Paris, Sean and I did some holiday shopping at the Burr Ridge Village Center in honor of their Small Biz Saturday event. If you live in Chicago or the suburbs, this is the perfect destination to cross some people off your shopping list.
The best part? They just opened one of my favorite Chicago restaurants too – Hampton Social. The burbs are COOL GUYS!
Burr Ridge has a range of the best retailers at the center – White House Black Market, Victoria’s Secret, etc. But I was pleasantly surprised to learn about the local boutiques. Which is where you can find all the personal and unique gifts. They also have a Kohler Spa – which is FABULOUS. If you haven’t been. You must absolutely get there.
Here’s what you can expect!
- Kelley Cawley: A stylish boutique that started in LaSalle, IL. So many great brands, hidden gems and love the decor and style. And let’s not mention the Citizens of Humanity denim!
- Two Boston’s Pet Boutique: We got a few items for Larry here and I think I was more excited about the pastry bar than him! They sell lots of organic and high quality treats, food and toys – which we give Larry. And doggies are welcome with open arms.
- Design Bar: I couldn’t get over all the gorgeous holiday décor. This boutique doubles as an interior design firm, which I’ve never seen before. Talk about the best of both worlds!
- Peak Running with a Twist: They carrie all stylish work out gear. The best part? The bar in the back! Sean sipped a craft beer while I browsed the Lululemon selection. Score.
- Bottle & Bottega: Have you guys done this yet? For the Small Biz event Bottle & Bottega had a pop up shop, which I thought was adorable. They’re currently offering Christmas paintings but they do so much more!
Afterwards, we hit up Hampton Social for some rosé and a burger (it’s SO DELISH!). Sean and I had a great time shopping (which honestly never happens). With all the quality restaurants and unique spots, there’s something for everyone. Even the boys!
