SO WHAT’S STYLE SATURDAY?
Hi guys! Are you pumped for another Style Saturday?!
If you’re new around these parts, Style Saturday’s a weekly series that makes your everyday prettier and the mundane better. Once a week, you’ll get a simple tip that won’t break the bank and you can do it THAT day. And to be clear – this series isn’t just about being “pretty”. It’s about feeling motivated, inspired and happy.
Today’s all about getting those Pinterest worthy bookshelves.
HOW TO GET BOOKS FOR UNDER $1
Picture perfect shelves are impossible without LOTS of hardcover books! The problem? At an average of $10-$18 a pop, this adds up to a pretty penny.
The solution? Goodwill baby.
You’ll find a plethora of hardback books for under a dollar! I got mine for .50. The trick is taking off the ugly book covers. Just peak under the sleeve before you buy them (it’s so fun and addicting!) and take them off when you get home.
Now let’s do the math. I have exactly 38 books on my bookshelf from Goodwill.
Price if I bought brand new ($15 per book):
$570
Price from Goodwill (.50 per book):
$19
I just saved you $550. That’s a FREE plane ticket to spring break! YOU’RE WELCOME LADIES.
Now, if you need help actually styling them, step right this way.
NEXT STEPS & HOW TO CONTRIBUTE
