One of the best parts about Summer is living in the moment.
Things like… on a whim getaways. Last minute outdoor gatherings. Staying an extra hour at the beach. And just going with the flow are what makes life fun. If there’s one thing I’ve learned this year it’s THIS.
The more you’re ready to go, the more YOU can live your life the way you want.
I’ve been meaning to implement this for awhile and finally bit the bullet. Here’s EXACTLY how I do it. Now you can fly by the seat of your pants and effortlessly embrace spontaneity too!
3 Ways To Make Spontaneity Effortless
- Always keep a toiletry bag packed so you’re ready for last minute trips: GUYS. This will cut your packing AND unpacking time in half. I didn’t realize toiletries are the most tedious part of packing for a trip. Ever since implementing this, I can now pack for a 3 day trip in 10 minutes. I keep these travel sized Cibu shampoos and conditioners in my dop kit. They’re compact and some of my favorite products to bring with me on vacation! I also suggest keeping a hair dryer, brush, phone charger and pajamas in your most used weekender bag too.
- Shower early on weekends. No doubt, I have a lots of room for improvement in this department. It’s sooooo nice to wake up late and lounge in your pj’s! But when you’re ready to go, you can say “yes” to fun adventures on the spot! I love using a dry shampoo or finishing spray to help my hair last all day and well into the night.
- Just say YES. I know life can feel jammed packed and overwhelming – especially this time of year. But don’t miss out because you’re “not ready” or “not perfectly put together”. I try to use beauty products that make my life easier, like this and this. But just remember, it’s all about making the memories!
I hope you find these tips as life changing as I did. Here’s to living it up the last month of Summer! Can you believe tomorrow is August? Cheers guys!
P.S. This summer cocktail {I’m drinking here} takes five seconds to make and only two ingredients! Plus 6 packing tips you DON’T know.
