Hi friends! How are you?
It’s been awhile since I did a random life update, so here you are. Can you believe this summer is almost over?
Mentally
I’ve been burning the candle on both ends and it’s finally caught up to me. Work is about to get insane (the 4th quarter is my BUSIEST time of the year) and it’s just been “go! go! go!”I forget you can’t do what you’re used to doing pregnant. It really takes a tole on you. I’ve canceled some commitments (which is my BIGGEST pet peeve) so I could rest up and feel better. So going forward I’m trying to cut WAY back on EVERYTHING.
Lately
Here’s just a sampling of what I’ve been up to. Creative Camp in Nashville, spoke on a panel at an Instagram workshop, spent a full day with Traditional Home Magazine at the Merchandise Mart, attended the Chicago Baby Show, had a photoshoot at the Serena and Lily Lincoln Park store with Paige, tweaking a project with Room & Board (going live next week!), working social media clients, finalizing my holiday content calendar, I’m on the board for a women’s group in Elmhurst, figuring out how I’m going to give birth to a human, re-organize our entire home and SO MUCH MORE. Has your schedule been insanity too?
Labor Day
Do you guys have Labor Day plans? We have our annual family reunion in Michigan City. Which is in Indiana by the way not Michigan! HAHA. I didn’t know that.
Fall
We had a few chilly mornings last week and it was just the best. We opened all our windows and we even got a new coffee pot! We’re trying to break our expensive habit of going to the coffee shop every morning before the baby arrives. Logistically it’s just not feasible with a newborn. Sean did an extensive amount of research and we learned this pot makes the closest cup of jo to a coffee shop you can get!
That’s why I love this dress. It’s gray and ribbed which has the texture of Fall. But the short sleeves and hemline mean you can wear it now! You can also see my mini baby bump.Yay!
