Happy Thanksgiving my friends!
We’re heading to my parents today for the long weekend! What about you?
Despite my mom and dad only living forty minutes away, we’ll sleep over a few nights! Sean and I rotate holidays between families. So for Christmas we’ll be with his side.
Personally, I love spending extended time with one family. I believe it’s those in between moments of nothingness where you really get that quality time in. For example, Sean likes to get up early and have coffee with his mom before everyone else wakes up. So cute! And my mom and I will usually do something like decorate Christmas cookies or go pick up my grandma (which is an hour drive one way). That personal time is priceless and we’d never get it if we swung by for the day.
This way has really worked well for us. But I’ll be interested to see how this plays out once we have kids. Will it stay the same or will we want to host at our house? I can’t get over we’ll have a 9 month old exactly a year from now. Like what?!!! What do you guys do?

Decking The Halls!
Are you guys getting your tree this weekend? Or decorating at all? Everything is going up this weekend. Since we get a real tree I try to wait as long as possible. Can’t wait to get everything up and give you guys another holiday home tour! There will definitely be some things that are different. And I disclosed one of them on my IG Stories last night!
It’s nice to be able to build on what you get every year. So I’m pumped to deck it all out!

Lastly, only in the past couple years have I realized I’m SO, SO fortunate the holidays are a happy time for me.
