Shop The Post: dog quilt c/o // neutral quilt c/o // swaddle set c/o // Stokke mini crib c/o // curtains // bear // rug {old from Unison} // dresser vintage – refurbished by MegMade
I’m so excited to show you a peek of our nursery today! Although we still have lots to do, we’ve come a loooong way.
What was once an office/spare bedroom, is now a dedicated space for a tiny human we don’t even know. We ripped out the old carpet, exposing the hardwood floors. We also removed the trim on the ceiling and replaced it with crown molding. Oh and don’t forget the fresh coat of paint!
All this for a roommate who isn’t even here. Can you imagine what we’ll be doing once he/she arrives?! LOL.
Our Nursery Decor
Right now we have two big pieces.
I can’t even handle our oval mini crib c/o of Stokke. This bed grows as your baby grows. Stokke is one of the baby brands I’ve fallen in love since becoming pregnant. Their style is very chic and I appreciate the long term functionality of everything they make. Stokke also gifted us their Tripp Trapp highchair, which came HIGHLY recommended by you guys!
My parent’s surprised us by refurbishing an old chifforobe by MegMade. It’s STUNNING and used to be my mom’s when she was a baby. When it comes to interior design, I LOVE the mix of vintage with new. Knowing this piece has a sentimental story behind it makes it very special to us. I got so many questions about MegMade on my IG stories, so I plan to do a dedicated blog post about the process, with before and afters!
Where We Are Registering
Lastly, I finally finished the bulk of our registry!
We are registering at buybuyBaby and Amazon {I mean, they have everything!}. But I thought it’d be fun to add somewhere different too.
It’s no secret I adore Serena & Lily. Everything they make is classic and will grow with baby R as he/she becomes older. We aren’t finding out the sex so their neutral aesthetic makes it easy! It’s not easy finding decor that’s not yellow or green. Last but not least, the quality is top notch. They gifted me a few blankets and swaddles and you can just feeeeel the difference in your fingers! P.S. I LOVE their Oliver dog prints – they remind me of Larry 🙂
I can’t wait to show you the nursery once it’s done. I still want to get an area rug, changing table, light fixture and art. The plant, stool and rug pictured above isn’t staying. I can’t WAIT to introduce you to our new roommate. He/she is due in 9 weeks. HOLY TOLEDO!!!! Is this really happening?!!!!
P.S. Any specific questions you guys have? Or want to know? I will be sure to include in future posts!!!
