When Treetime suggested a ‘gum drop’ tree for Penelope’s bedroom my heart leaped out of my chest!
It all made sense. THIS IS WHY I HAD A BABY GIRL.
I’m a traditional spruce gal at heart – but how perfect is this flocked tree for a lady of the house?
We went skinny and tall to make a statement but take up minimal space. Penelope can’t keep her paws off of it! But the start of a new tradition makes it all worth it.
As of three days ago, Penelope is ten months! She’ll be one before we know it. She’s buzzing around, pointing at anything and everything that catches her eye. She just learned to wave at people and she can stand for about four seconds without holding on to anything. For months babies are these tiny blobs that just grunt, coo and cry. Now that she’s communicating, it’s blowing our minds. Sean and I keep saying “WOW! There’s a real live human in there!”. We also say she’s smarter than Larry now too. Haha!
My mom {AKA Grammie} got her this rattan rocking horse for Christmas {she let me borrow it early for photos}. I don’t know who likes it more! Me, my mom, or Penelope!
Also, can we talk about P’s Christmas jammies? Cutest thing I ever did see!!!! They’re on sale right now too!
