We are absolutely smitten with our new backyard lighting. And thanks to Moonscape, our yard has taken on a whole new life after sunset. Whether we’re enjoying a glass of wine by the fire, looking out the window doing dishes, or throwing a full blown party, it’s as if we’re at a resort!
I said this is Part 1, but I’ll say it again…
Exterior lighting is a must for any backyard. There are several styles and techniques. But with extensive landscaping and tall trees, moonlighting is where it’s at. Let me explain…
Why Moonlighting Is Special
Moonlighting is special because it’s the complete opposite of your typical uplighting. Fixtures are placed high in the trees. They shine down casting a soft, natural glow, as if mimicking moonlight! Moonscape installed three moonlights. Two make our tree canopies glow, while the third lights up our pool area. This was in conjunction with six uplights too. We LOVE the results.
When friends come over, they can’t stop gazing at our trees. It’s the perfect backdrop every-time you throw a party – big or small. On top of it all, you can even enjoy your flowers well into the night.
If you haven’t read the first part of our moonlighting installation, be sure to read it here. You’ll get a ton of tips, things to think of and how the process works. Not to mention, you HAVE to watch the 100 foot install!
Ever since we moved into our new home a year ago, I felt like our backyard was missing something. Moonlighting was it! But don’t take my word for it. Check out these “With” + Without Photos” to see for yourself.
